Another clutch problem...

I have tried to search but can't really find an answer. I installed a new clutch assembly (pressure plate, clutch disc, release bearing, piliot bearing, front and rear main seal, trans front cover, and driveshaft.

My question is how many miles do I need to drive before I stop smelling clutch every once in awhile. I know I'm not bad at driving a stick (every car I've owned has been stick) and its at random times. I just figured it still isn't broken in yet.

What is a good break in procedure? I have yet to take it over 3k and haven't gone more then 1/2 throttle. I have about 100 miles on it so far. Its a street/strip pressure plate with a street/strip HD clutch disc from mazdatrix.

Thanks
