my computer is retarded or something cause when I search it freezes up so anyway heres my question

I am removing the cat and replaceing with a new strait pipe, can I ditch the smog pump line?, do I need to put something over it or can I just get rid of it from the pump to the cat? ( using smog pump still )

I didn't do anything to mine. I just removed the cat, put the straight pipe in, and that was that. I haven't experienced any problems that would relate to that (got a flat tire today, but I highly doubt there is any correlation)
