it's kinda hard to make fc's look smooth though. if done right they can, but no crazy body kit will do it. like the widebody 20b in superstreet a while back, it looked terrible. yeah it was a badass car but i hated the way it looked. i think the best way to go is understated agression. just a little wider and lower. the pedestal wing would be bad as hell, completely forgot about that.

The problem with this is, the only way I'd sell 1 part or the other, if if I sold BOTH. And not many people would want to buy it all at once...

So, I'd probably just make peices that can be thrown on any RX-7, but have like... sets. Like a hood that matches the lights, that fits in with the bumper. But nothing that REQUIRES something else.

I also came up with a new hood emblem which would look pretty cool on the center caps of the wheels...

I'm actually thinking to put a logo into them, in a small hardly visable place. Like on the area between the headlights, on the under-side of the hood, etc. Just something I want to do. Not very noticable, but I just like having my name on something.

Any bodykit supmissions, logo submissions, emblem submissions etc. would be greatly appreciated. E-Mail them to AgeOfGlow@aol.com & Have something relivent in the title ( I delete a LOT of spam )

By the way, my vote is for smooth, not pretty... I would want it painted to match, I like to be low profile... Around here, the guys with CF on their cars usually get one of two things: Pulled over, or broken into.

CF is nice if you race and need to lose weight, or you need to win a show. on the street it just doesn't make sense. "let me run over this speed bump so i can break my new $500 front spoiler!." it's ok $100T2, i obsess over a car i don't even have, still better off than i.

That would be awesome...and so would a straight up copy of the RE FC2000 kit. Anything to get rid of those pop up headlights! I would def be interested in these.

PLEASE make guage pods!!!!! I get people emailing me on an almost daily basis asking for them, and I just dont think I could do it for a good price and not lose money.

Another thing to make it the warning light surround. Its another thing I cant reasonably produce.

Sure Adam, I'll see what my guy can do. BTW, if you would please E-mail or PM me with the stuff you're making or planning to make. I don't want to mess up any of your business either.

Right now, my friend and I are discussing maybe a TII hood, and then our attempt at a "custom" R*Magic style hood. I nixed the sunroof idea, unless I can come up with an improvment of the factory style. Any other ideas of things you couldn't make would be appreciated

It's good to know there can be more than 1 CF'er on the board.

I would like to see the following in either CF or FG:

1. Factory Aero Kit side pieces (black trim pieces in front of the rear fender wells

2. Radio Surrounds and possibly shifter surrounds.

3. Intake tubes for NAs (replacement pipe for the factory piece between the MAF sensor and the TB

4. Cold air box similar to Mariah's

Once again, a few mentioned have already been thought about. Like the Cold Air Box The intake tube would be better suited to someone who can mandrel-bend pipe... and that's not me. Radio surrounds? Maybe, if Adam abandoned the project. and lastly, I'm not sure what you mean by Aero-Kit Side Peices.... any pics???

I am in the process of making a CF widebody kit for my FC. The style is unlike the Tri Point kit, and very much like the Amemeya 3rd gen kit, on the noteable white ont withe weird round little taillights. It cuts of at the molding in the front and back. Flares the front 1.2" and the back 2". The thing I dont like about the Tri Point/Mariah kits are that there is nothing to tie the front flares to the back flares, so it gives it a kinda hourglass/figure eight look from above, that leaves it kinda unnatural. The kit I am making retains the stock lines along the side but brings it a lil more horizontally to make wider. Due to the high price of CF only 1/2 of the material will be CF and the other half f glass. Though each flare will only weight Apprx. 5 lbs. They will overlay the stock(yet trimmed up) fenders up front, and very trimmed quarter panels. I personally have always had a crush on wide body kits, aside from the performance potential, when done right they just look so insane!
I dont know if I could ever make them "clean" enough to sell. Or with the time involved in making them make it worth while, but man would I live to get this vision out there. I will post pics of the first front fender I have completed. within the next few days.
Mazdaspeed and I are opposites, he has more experience and no time, I have less experience and more time. But I am getting better and better as I work with CF everday at my shop, and have some really nice equipment in the mail, so I will have more "ready to ship" products, with pics available, in the very near future.

So.... yeah. No offense, but.... what's your point? What products are you making? All I've seen you do is stuff for yourself, that's why I didn't consider you a "CF'er". What products are you producing? A nice 13B~> B16A swap kit? Hehehe, just joshing.

Oh, another thing, liquid... My nose design incorporates an airbox... It would be molded in... I basically designed it to allow for an FMIC as well as the airbox.

Well, since this is an interest thread, here's what I'm interested in...

* CF or FG hood with reverse scoop (it'd be painted, so it doesn't have to be pretty CF... just smooth).
* CF or FG headlight covers (same as above).
* Stereo surround (mine's cracked in about 20 places)
* Idiot light console surround

If these were available at a reasonable price I'd 100% guarantee that I would buy them (not all at once).

I do like the cup-holder idea in the center console as well.

Here's another idea:
a CF (or hell, just fiberglass) form fitted subwoofer enclosure to take the place of the storage bins. I have been wanting to do that FOREVER, but just haven't had the time.

$100T2; If you could, is it possible to scan your drawn pictures of that front end? It looks good. After I go over it a bit, I'll post a silular picture on here, asking intrest in it ( I really don't want to make a mold for 1 person ). About the fiberglass box, (FG would be much better suited for that applicatoin) I doubt I'll make a production of those, BUT; I DO plan on making one in the near-future. When I do, I'll be sure to make an extensive D.I.Y. on the subject (With lots of pictures )

Kaneto; to my knowlage, everything you mentioned is either in my production plan (Once again, if I continue this business venture) or Adam's (Mazdaspeed7)

Mazdaspeed7; I'm kindof pressed for time right now (In between classes at school) I'll try and catch you online @ home, tonight (After around 7:00 CST)

New ideas; New-style vented headlight cover, CF FTP vents, and a few other things, still in the works.

Been there, done that, and it shouds like ****. The placemant of the speaker in relation to the roof of the car causes frequencies between ~35 and 75 hz to cancel out very badly.

Have you tried making it a little taller in the front to angle the subs up at the glass?

It would sound better, but still not that great. But there goes the stock look. Do you enjoy your car getting broken into?

Well, then here's what the plan is on mine:
False floor over the whole hatch area, raising the level of the floor about 3 1/2" total, all the way to the seatbacks... then mounting a 10" sub behind each seat, firing forward into the seat back, which will allow sound, but make the subs remain hidden... the false floor from the shock towers back will be hinged, under carpet, and that's where my amplifier and tool kit will reside.
