Another Backspacing Question!!

Was going to get these wheels 17x9 25mm for front, 17x10.5 27mm. The backspacing for the front is 6 inches and the rear is 6.5. I know 6 inches is going to be to much back space for the front but adding an inch spacer is gonna be a pain in the *** because i put arp studs all around they are a little bigger then stock so i cant put spacers with built on lugs without putting the stock lugs back on.

My question is how much of the 6 inches do i need to get rid of to keep it away from the strut. Quarter inch, Half inch?

They are ARP lug studs i think 3 inches long keep in mind it shrinks it down going the the hub and rotor, whats the max spacer you think i can run on them without using to little threads?

I attached a picture i have mad steering angle but you can see the lug studs im using and about how long they really are

You'll need at least a 5mm spacer in front to clear the strut/spring presuming you are using a 2.5" dia spring. You can probably use at least a 12mm spacer with extended studs safely. I wouldn't push it beyond a 1/2" spacer though, even if you have sufficient stud length to accommodate more.

Bottom line is you should have plenty of margin to use those wheels with a mild (<1/2") spacer.

BTW this thread belongs in the wheels/tires/susp section.
