another bac question

Well ive been searching for almost 45 min and i cant seem to find anything like this. I have a 88 gxl, when i start it up it revs up to 3k rpm then when it gets to normal operating temp it drops to 2500. I have done the propane trick and found no leaks in any hoses, then to my suprise when i pinched the runner hose going to the bac valve the idle droped right down to 750 rpm. i unpluged the bac valve and now it idels right but doesnt want to start, i have to pump the gas and even then it sometimes doesnt start.

any ideas???

thanks a bunch

DO you still have a thermowax on your throttle body. Mine did the something similar, and it was a bad thermowax.
