am intake

i want to get rid of my stock intake box but for some reason i'm confused, can sumone show me a pic of how they did there intake setup, theres that extra tube connected to the box so help! i know this may be very stupid of me to ask but i figured what the hell!

i have a 1990 gxl

This has been discussed many times on this forum, so if you search the topic you will find lots of information. You have a S5, so basically, just remove the stock box and filter and fit a cone filter on to the AFM. You won't even need an adapter. This will free up inflow to the engine but you shouldn't stop here. Fab a heat shield box around the cone filter to shield the input air from the hot temps in the engine bay. Again look around this forum for ideas.

...still not done. If you have the stock exhaust system you won't get much of an improvement. replace the stock system with a good cat-back presilencer system and freer flowing mufflers. Racing Beat makes a great system.

This combination will improve performance, but it ain't free.

thanks, i will take a look around, the only none stock thing i have is a bonez superflow cat
