Am I missing a part of my tb?
Hey, two questions, one, am I missing part of my TB? and two, where I made that little circle, is that my TPS adjustment screw? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I am still fairly new to this car and don't know exactly where the adjustment screw is and what it supposed to look like, thanks!

yes, that is the adjusting screw, and you are not missing anything vital on that side. take a pic of the back side so we can see that. The only thing I see missing is the elbow and pipe that goes down to the AFM and filter

I'll go take another pic, but will post this before I do so... the "elbow and pipe" that I'm missing... what does it do, and would it cause my car to act up like it is doing so? (see my other thread "what is wrong with my car")

also, i just took a bunch of pix, and even took some movies of my engine, but while i was doing so, the stupid battery on my camera died, so I'm going to have to post the pix and/or movies in a little bit after the battery recharges

well you are lucky that it starts. I guess it might be close enough to suck some air through the pipe...
the TB is open. atleast the front plates are in that pic. is you cable pulled open in that pic?
your car won't run untill you get the rubber eblow. you are just sucking air into the TB. the air filter and AFM are not doing a dam thing.

no, I wasn't touching anything when I took the pic, it just sits that way... Does anybody have a picture of what a good one is supposed to look like? and how do I close it if it's supposed to be closed? any help would be greatly appreciated

when you push the gas pedal, the little flapper door on the AFM opens up. This signals the ECU that more air is coming in, and that the injectors need to deliver more fuel. Without the throttle body pipe hooked up, it will not run correctly, if it runs at all

I AM A MORON... sorry guys, I took that pic a while and didn't realize that it was missing in that pic, i just looked at it again to find out what in the world was so important that was missing... Ok, now i understand why you guys are saying it wouldn't work. Yeah, I put that back on a while. Now, is there anything ELSE that is missing...? (sorry, i really feel dumb)
ok ignor that pic if your pipe is back on
your front plates are open in that top pic though. maybe somebody wired them open (kinda like TB mod) as long as the back ones are closed it should be ok. if they were open. the car would redline itself at idle.

the back ones are indeed closed... is there anything else in my pic that jumps out at you? (and i thought that they were supposed to be open when the engine is cold... that's what kevin from rotaryressurection.com told me...)

check https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=207057 to see what my problems are with the car... I'm not sure what in the world is wrong with it, and I really DON'T want to have to take it to a mechanic, but I don't know how else to find out what is wrong.
