Aluminum hood

a quick question to those who may know...are ALL the TII hoods aluminum? on that note, are the hoods on the 89+ convertibles aluminum?

All T2 hoods are aluminum. SOME NA hoods are aluminum.

no not all T2 hood are aluminum there are a few steel ones too

87 GTR is correct, from the factory some T2 hoods were steel but the majority were aluminum.

Also most replacement hoods (for body repair shops) were also steel.

All US 'vert's (including '88s) hoods came from the factory as aluminum

I would suppose that it would be model related. I am sure the cheaper models must have had steel.
