Alternator Switch

Hey guys, Im about to replace the alternator in my 88 GXL S4, and am curious which alternator I should go with. Im looking to buy used ,but in good condition. I see a lot of S5 and TII alts that seem in better condition than the direct replacements. Do the S5 and TII bolt and plug right up?.. also are their any voltage issues? My current alternator still works well but makes noise, bad bearings maybe, I dont know.

and input would be fantastic. Thanks
