so i have a spare s4 and s5 t2 alternator. I wanted to take them apart to jsut check the parts to see if they are still good and if they need a rebuild. Please correct me if I am wrong

1)undo pulley nut
2)press out front cover from rotor(my s5 alt is a lil more difficult, the s4 one came out easy
3)pull out rotor? It seems like the brushes are holding in my rotor pretty well for the s4 alt
4)desolder the 3 windings

These parts were basically given to me, so i want to check the stator, rotor, diodes n stuff.

Are the internal parts from these differenet alternators interchangable?
