Alternator Question

Here's the latest:

I was driving my car (WOO HOO!) and all of a sudden my warning lights ALL came on and my voltage on the gauge dropped below 12 volts. It still starts fine but every time I start it, it does the same thing. My wiring is all in tact as far as I can tell.

I'm having the alternator tested today to see if it is good.

What would cause all of my idiot lights to come on at the same time? Would a bad alternator cause this?

Lol.. it's alright

I was going to say all the lights coming on means your alternator is dead.

Speak with silverrotor and get yourself an FD alternator conversion. He can hook you up for cheap, and it's high quality stuff..

I can vouch for the FD alternator. I didn't get one from silverrotor, I machined out my own pulley and spacer, but its a marked improvement. Plenty of amps and voltage to spare. I get 14.9 V at idle, and about 15.5 at cruise.
