Mazdaperformance has parts manuals you can download or review. Sould find it here. It will not have specs but the part # you can order from Mazda dealer. Good luck. Here is the link

Big one is 14mm head but 10mm thread diameter - 10mm x 1.00?
The smaller one on the adjustment bracket is 12mm head but 8mm thread diameter.  This should be 8mm x 1.00 thread.

I overtorqued mine also, and managed to just strip the threads on the alternator - I managed to Heli-Coil the alternator casing to get it to work.

You mean the one at the top? You can always drill it out and replace it with a nut and bolt, rather than tapping the hole.

thank you for your help. i found the nut and bolt that fit at napa auto parts. i had also bought a belt there too. but come to find out my alternator was the one that was making the squeeling noise. i don't want to start a new post but do i need to buy a new alternator for it if it is starting to squeel? if so should i just go with a rebuilt one or a new one?

I haven't come across a brand new unit in years.
They should all be rebuilt or remanufacturered.
Buy them from the Mazda dealer, as most of the stuff coming from big chain auto parts stores are crap.

yeah i guess i will have to do that. is there anyway that i could just replace the bearing in the alternator. cause i think that is what it is cause that is where the squeeling came from. so i put some wd40 and some engine grease on it. it kind of helped but not all of the way. anyone else have this problem.
