Alternator issues

My FC's alternator took a **** on me and was wondering if other people have had the same problem due to heat. When the car is cold it was fine but when it warmed up alternator stopped working (got heatsoaked) going to heat wrap my downpipe and see if that helps direct the heat away (new alternator on the way)

Read the section on alternator overheating. Might apply to your situation.

Yea that is what i figured. My best bet is its the downpipe giving off a **** ton of heat plus the engine and all the other factors i plan to heat wrap the pipe get a new alternator and aftermarket radiator. hopefully all of that will keep the next alt. alive
