Alt: Question?

I was changing the pulley from an s4 alt to the red and grey s5 TII alt and I striped it. My question is can I use the shaft from the s4 and install it on the s5?

You COULD, but the windings are different, and your amperage may vary. I'm not sure if its the stator windings or the rotor windings, or both that make the amperage of the an alt... but I would just get a new alt if I were you.
