(Already Searched) New Question about Aux Ports

ok, i know it only takes 2psi to activate my aux ports, so i blew into the hose and they dont open... does the car have to be started and revved to 4k for them to activate at 2psi, or should they just open with the car off

The actuators don't care where they get their pressure from, it's likely they're stuck. I've had success freeing them by spraying them with penetrating oil and working them up and down by hand.

2.1 PSI for an S4, and you have to have a load on the engine to have them open.

2.8 PSI for an S5, but you should be able to see them open at 3800rpm sitting in your driveway.

Blowing into them will never open them, get a small bike pump for that. If it's an S5, just crack the throttle open while watching them.

If it's an S4, it's harder, but you can wire them open temporarily so you can see if you feel a difference driving. It is a very noticeable change, and you'll find the car pulling a lot harder from about 4.5k up. Just keep in mind that this will give you a poor idle and loss of power under 3.8k until you get them working properly.

I was wondering how i would wire open and which way should they move.

I thought on the S5 they don't open unless under load (the ECU doesn't switch the solenoid).

If you want to see if they work, and be sure, then just bypass the control solenoid. All it takes is a vacuum splice and then you can rev it at idle and watch them move. This might also be a good time to hit the solenoid with 12V to make sure it "clicks." When I was testing I also put a test light on the connector and drove down the block to make sure the ECU was sending the signal.

Oh, and human lugs explode at about 2 psi, so I don't think you were blowing anything close to that. I think the most they can put out is well under 1 psi.

WRONG
I have an S4 I was just testing my aux ports...

rear works, car in N rev to around 4K (not sure i was under hood)
i could visually see the port opening...

my front however is siezed... can't move it by hand...
which brings me to my next point, if you can't move it by hand... something is wrong...

I was wondering how i would wire open and which way should they move.
you can wire them open that is fine, the rear one will pull counterclockwise and the front should pull clockwise...
KEEP IN MIND
you will loose low end power, maybe not much but I hear its noticable enough for you to get annoyed and go back and fix it right later being that a typical driver uses more low end power then top end

You should be able to turn them by hand... and it is not recommended that you wire them open...

Wiring open aux ports is like turning on the Vtec at 1000 RPM instead of 6000 RPM
