All my idiot lights are on. . . .

Well, almost all of them are on ( top row plus three on the bottom ) & my alternator gauge is way down, plus my dash lights are dim. Now I just put a new alternator and battery in it about a year ago. So what should I check, and how?

check the connections at the alternator, if they are fine then take it in and get it warrantied. almost all aftermarket rebuilders for our alts are junk.

Well, the belt is still there & tight. I'll check the connections tomorrow. Could it be any fuses?

well actually the fuse could blow if the alternator shorts out internally or the charge wire gets grounded accidentally, if you haven't had the wires off recently then rule out the latter. i always check the charge fuse (80amp black fuse in the eng. room fuse panel) when i suspect a bad alternator anyways, only takes a second.

if you have a clamped on aftermarket battery terminal, which a lot of FCs have now due to age, check and be sure the smaller diameter wire to the posotive terminal is nice and tight in the terminal. if so, as we said, likely you have a bad alternator.

Yep, checked the connections to the alt, belts, & fuses under the hood. It's in the shop right now with a couple other problems so they'll take a look at it. I'll see if I can find my paperwork for my alt warranty.
