Question For all that have a custom cold air box

OK, I finally have some time off and I made a 'test' airbox. I followed the design off of the fc3s.org site, BUT with a minor difference. I have removed the washer bottle and the little exhaust thingy that sits infront of the passenger wheel well, my plan is to route air from the brake duct area up into the box. I closed off the box from the stock venting piece that goes across the top of the fan. The test was very bad the whole box practically sucked itself in and my car started smoking and running really rich. I modified the box to also recieve air from the stock route and now everything is ok. I know a couple of you guys out there have done a box, have any of you had it collapse on you? Also I am planning on fabricating a sort of ram air thing different from what I have now to force air into the box from the foglight opening. Has anyone else done this?

I have planned that as well. My main concern was that I might run too rich and blow my motor with too much air. Would that be a problem? What did you make your box out of? I was thinkin of havin this guy I know that owns a fiberglass place make me one. Hmmmm....that got me thinkin on a free kit for me...hmmm....
