All bolts for a 13B-RE

I got a problem regarding all the bolts and nuts on a 13B-RE engine. I bought a lot of parts from different people, and I don't have all the bolts to fix the LIM, UIM, exhaust mani, turbo, etc.

I would like to know if any of you have a list of all the nuts and bolts that I need, to put all this together, or if my only option is to go ask the dealer? I would also like to buy everything new, just for the hell of it, but I can't find that information anywhere.

Thanks

I got the paper Mazda service manual, the Haynes, but all of this is for a 2nd gen not a Cosmo engine as stated. If I asked it is for that exact reason, I want to know the right bold for the right space. Sure they say how to repair your car, but not specifically the size of each bolts.

Your really lucky to live in NorCal and to have some RX-7 in you junk yards. There is no RX-7 in any junk yard since 10 years around here. I would also be really surprised if you could find a cosmo engine, that was just found in Japan, in your local Junk Yard. But I guess you already know that considering you got a 20b FC

I am just asking, if it doesn't exist, I'll find another way to do it. The reason I am asking it here, is because the Cosmo engine swap in a FC as been done a bunch of times.

I'm betting that the specs of bolts and nuts are going to match across the different engines.

Metric is good

Remember when you are at a bolt supply that there are actually three different thread sizes for the metric bolt .. course , fine , extra fine .. I don't believe there are any extra fine bolts in the little engine . I found this out the hard way , but after a couple of trips for the wrong sizes I have a nice selection of metric stuff.. Also the threads on metric stuff fits much better than the standard sizes and the washers actually fit the head of the bolts . yes a pitch gauge helps lots . if you are having problems figuring it out

The bolt sizes are quite standard, it's the various lengths you need to determine.
Beware of threading too deep into blind hole castings.

dont listen to this guy, the words "course, and fine" apply to standard thread bolts and nuts

metric thread pitch is done with numbers, i.e. .75, 1.0, 1.25

Just trying to make it clear that there are more than two pitches .I also said that a pitch gauge is a good thing to use . Maybe you should learn to read sir ..

^ maybe you should learn correct bolt terminology so you don't have to keep going back to the store.

^Perhaps you should reread the first post of this thread. The OP is requesting the list you're asking for.

it seems no one wants to do your work for you. try to make the list yourself. (if you want it done right...)

use a coat hanger to determine length needed.
use thread pitch gage to determine pitch
use some of the other bolts you have to determine m6/8/10

put the list together and be a hero to others who are too lazy to do it themselves

That's exactly what I will do. I am a bit crazy with my built, I want everything to be spot on and I want it to look perfect. I don't plan to put it in a car in a reasonnable time lapse. I just want to build a perfectly well done engine (bay). Its my hobby.

I wont decline the offer to buy some bolts of you Japan2LA as some look right OEM, but I will first try to find as much as I can brand new.

The goal of having that list is also because I try my best to document everything. That way if I ever sell the car, the next owner will be able to fix everything when it broke, knowing how every custom job was done.

I bought a modified car when I was younger, I did not know a lot mechanically and each time something modified broke I was left by myself. Later I bought another car with all documentation, all bills, pictures of how everything custom was done, and how every after market parts was useful performance wise. I can tell you that I was amazed and that it certainly added value to the sell. So I realized how important it can be to know and list everything you do. Especially if your not paying someone to do it and that you don't have all the invoices that proves how much you've spend on it.
