I don't know what to say.

Part of me wants to comment on just how stupid you guys are for doing that.

...and the other part of me wants to buy a set of Koni struts and some Azenis Sports for the Spec-V so I can drive out there and show you all how it's really done.

sup DrifterX,.... maybe youve seen me there?? S13 hatch with chrome rear wheels, kouki tailights and blue rear fenders?...

I had a understeer incident a week before the civic accident. Just got my car off road almost ran into the mountain wall side (not cliff)... car bounced up,... was a ae86 and S14 behind me... luckily I didnt come in contact with the wall, just scratches,... some reason, all my engine belts decided to bail out... luckily i found this out after I made it down the mountain.

I agree...it's one of the most stupidest things I've ever seen online.&nbsp To make matters worse, the driver needs to learn how to drive - his lines were all over the place.&nbsp Passing people and then making stupid comments about how "shitty" they are is just plain dumb - you were shitty like those other people at one point in your life; why insult them for it.

I hope Darwinism kicks in on this...

Groups it's even worse, cause one small **** up and you get one massive pile.&nbsp Stop trying to show how immature you are - take this **** on the track before you go kill someone.

Yea seriously I dont get how going in groups would be better or safer. If anything it would only get more people hurt and do more damage.

Come on Ted, don't be a hater!

Track time is a blast but you can't simulate Touge on the track. Honestly in the video there were too many cars for me plus I did the run in the day time.. night is a smite mo sketchy... Of course as I said when I drove I kept in my lane unless I could see way in front of me.. These guys were tempting fate a bit hoping that nobody was doing the downhill.

I think that video of the kids in the Celicas was WAY worse. They were driving in heavy traffic shooting in and out of cars and passing on the shoulder and median.

My official stance is...

I do not condone it.&nbsp Hell, I used to do it myself.
You post something like that, expect to take **** for it.&nbsp I've watched the driving lines, and they were not consistent - it's criticism.
What pissed me off is the trash talking that was caught on video.&nbsp I don't talk **** because I can drive around the guy - it's just "uncool".&nbsp I guess that's my biggest beef about the whole video - the **** talking.

Seriously, these people are going to kill themselves - I got no pity for people who die doing stunts like this.&nbsp Or kill someone else - this I have a big problem with...&nbsp Reckless regard of someone else's life is just no excuse, PERIOD.&nbsp Having fun is one thing; hurting someone due to you having fun is pure BS.

And no, I find track time a lot more fun than any street driving.&nbsp The rush you get from setting a fast time that no one else can beat is pure enjoyment in itself...it's about perfection, people.

ever try using a set of radios or something and have someone watching the other end? Just curious, that seems like it would be the safest way to do it.

I'm with Ted on this one. Whoever was driving the GTUs, he needs to take some track driving classes and learn to drive "good" lines. As for the miata, no comment. Can't drive and bad taste in car exterior.

Ted is also right about the **** talking. I don't know who said it, driver or passenger, but they obviously know jack ****. "Corner Entry"? Go live a couple more years with your driver's license and learn a little bit. You sound like you still have to get past your puberty years. Its a lot more than just corner entry.

I don't hate on touge driving. Damn, I do it also. But I don't act and talk like I know everything.

Stop watching initial D...

Get some driving skills and be smart. Why would you run with groups that don't know how to drive? You're either going to hurt your car or hurt yourself.

Hell, trying to copy japanese racers? they die every night off of cliff sides...

As much talk as there is of 'Akina' what's not stopping a raid, or even ricers going there and trying it out killing themselves and others.

Very responsible and well thought out answer Ted. I would have to agree with you. See I forget that not everyone on this board is damn near 30 like me.. While I consider myself a good driver (and 95% of commuters morons) all my friends, Dana, Rarest ect. are mature, good drivers with lots more track time than I have. So I am surrounded by people with more exp than me so my view of what a driver on this forum is in skewed.

I agree that on the track I push myself MUCH more and learn a lot about what I can and can't do. The Touge is a practical application of that and I don't push myself because I don't want to die ;-) and I deff don't take ideal lines because I stay in my own lane.. Track time lets you learn what a real apex is and what real control is about.

At first I was thinking.. Man.. I just had so much fun driving this mountain pass and here is someone telling me I'm irresponsible while I felt I left a good margin of saftey but then I had to take a step back.. I thought back on some of the driving I have done in the past.. Sacramento to Tahoe in 45 min at midnight.. and I wonder how I am even alive today. I remember doing 100 that night on 50 thinking it was SOO fast. I also remember being 16 and taking this turn up the street from my house at 50 in my Dad's old IROC. I almost lost control. When I complained to him that I didn't understand.. that I was ONLY doing 10 above the limit he told me something that I still think about. Just because the car can take the turn doesn't mean that YOU can take the turn. The ability of the car and the ability of the driver are seperate. Anyway I took it to heart and I could imagine some 16 yo watching that video and going off the cliff.

Sorry but Why do they call this road Mt Akina? Deff to much Initial D. That road was weak conpared to two raods I have been uo north. Not saying I can drive them as well or better thananyone, but that road , from what i can see in the video is cake to what my friends drive on up north. Man that cartoon was great but now we have every kid with or without a license trying to run " Mt Akina " like hes some late night tofu delivery boy.

Akina is a just a code name for that road. I thought that road was pretty killer. Although it will be an extremely long time before I do something as crazy as that.

Autocrossing is enough for me now. (I don't want to wreck my car or kill myself.)

Don't worry. It will make you a better driver. An autocross driver will make 4x more turns than a F1 driver will make in a race.

except F1 races are like 50 laps long on 15+ turn courses like Monaco.
