AB AIT Question

Im wiring my car back together after a solid 3 year build project, and iv found most of the connections again haha couple im struggling with tho, first of all where is the Intake air temp sensor plugin? is it right by the tps? that would make sense but somebody really did a ghetto job wiring something else in there possibly a 3rd gen sensor or something. also right by the tps sensor there is a small ground not sure where that goes, just to the block? to the vacuum spider?(which i dont have anymore)

Thanks any info would be greatly appreciated

air intake temp sensor is in the throttle body elbow, and the connector should be nearby, i believe its on the same branch as the TPS, but its been a while.

ok it is obvious to me now that the previous owner was running a 3rd gen AIT sensor, but he didnt wire in an original connector, just 2 wires with rudimentary plugs that grab the 2 fingers inside the sensor, now i could tap the hole on the new elbow to fit a 3rd gen or change the plugs on the ends of these wires to fit a 2nd gen but how would i make sure i knew i plugged each wire to the proper finger on the sensor? Does it even Matter? On the 2nd gen sensor it does not seem like there is really any right way as to how the original plug engaged it.

the sensor just changes resistance, so the orientation of the wires does not matter

im guessing the 3rd gen works the exact same but its a different/newer style so therefore potentially more accurate. il probably just tap the new elbow to fit it then since thats easier anyway then changing the plug thanks

If the resistance of the FD sensor is different you are gonna run into problems.
