Airpump question
Airpump question
you guys are gonna kill me, but I searched all over.
I want to remove my airpump on my S4 NA (86 GXL if it matters) I already have the complete RB exhuast header/pre-silencer/cat-back. I also just installed a K&N intake and now the airpump hose isn't connected to anything. I, like most people, don't know a whole lot about the air pump or how it works, just that I've pretty much nulled it's existence and I want it gone. Do I need block off plates to keep from leaving a big hole in my IM or what? Thanks for the help!
P.S. in my own defence I did find a few threads about removing the air pump, but they were all for either S5 NAs and they ended with "don't remove it 5th and 6th ports won't work. Or there were the turbo ones and everyone said they needed a new ECU.

You can remove it, just remove the ACV with it (block it off, the plate should've came with the RB exhaust) Then just unbolt it and remove it. Simple, nothing to worry about (as long as your exhaust has enough back pressure to operate your aux ports)

Along with Racing Beat... www.k2rd.com sells that blockoff plate too as well as many others.
