dave gibson did it on project 86. you would have to make them higher like this if you left the bumber in. or in the front of the hood.

that is the place i was thinking about using!!! There is a small area in the exact place of those holes that you don't have to remove the steel bumper. One long strip for me though....? I wonder about the ole "knight rider" light mounted set into it about a inch and half....
