I took it apart and started over. It went together but I have 2 issues: 1) when the back plate is tightened I cant rotate the vanes, and 2) when I can rotate the vanes one scrubs on the wall. Anyone have any recommendations?

Plan B: Rig up an electric pump.
Justifications:
1) Loosing the cats gives more power & less weight.
2) Loosing the pump gives more room & less weight.
3) The old pump support bracket will break soon.
4) Electric pumps are cool,

Cool electric pump! But I ain't smart enough for that. I just want to install the original and get it over with. Darn thing scrubs worse now after I cleaned it than before, and when I get the cap screwed down all the way it doesnt rotate at all???? This was suppose to be easy.

hey, I've got mine mounted in that exact same spot! Haven't gotten to try it out much yet, but looks like it will work. Did you relay off the old solenoid's, or with an rpm switch?
