air intake thermosensor?

It's on the underside of the intake manifold. You have to remove or at least lift up the manifold to remove the sensor.
It took me a whole day and a 1/2 to do it. I just took my time.
While you've got the manifold off, spray a lot of carb cleaner to clean up the carbon on the manifold and the manifold extension (which connects to the engine.) This smooths the idle and makes the car more responsive.

Haven't we ALL heard this
I believe you find that after the intercooler is taken off. Then, follow the rubber tube that goes into the metal throtle body. It is on the drivers side. Two prongs sticking out of it. But it is BEFORE the throtle plates.
In the picture it is the sensor screwed into the metal there.
The test for it is real easy. Unscrew it and get a lamp and a voltmeter. Then, turn the lamp on and put the sensor by it. Then set the voltmeter up for resistance.
77F Resistance = 33 +/- 4 Ohms
185F Reistance = 3.5 +/- 0.4 Ohms
Man, imagine the intake air being 185F? Scary
But it also could be a broken wire.
