air fuel gauge question!?

ok when i bought the car the dude gave me two gauges but they where not installed one is a boost gauge i think i got that down packed i am going to install it today. the other is the air fuel gauge. now i know in my civic i tapped into one of my wires on my o2 sensor i was wondering since the 87 fc t2 has a one wire o2 sensor can i just hook it up to that wire or do i need a different o2 sensor over all?

i did that but to be very honest the air fuel gauge is nothing but a light show. very unuseful unless something major happens but by then you can most likely tell by the performance of your car. were as the boost gauge is pretty useful as you can watch for boost spikes and what not. if you can sell it or dont install it. im pulling mine out ,.. waste of space time and money

well.....idk how to instal it but from what ive heard that you need to get an EGT gauge to get a better reading of how lean or rich or car is getting since our cars run alot hotter than piston engines

its going to say lean....and then all of a sudden.....POP

again i could be wrong

i don't think i can stll it, it looks like it was used and it has a pretty bad little ding on the bottom of the gauge! so i figure have a little light show for the hell of it! the boost gauge i know i am going to need and be useful so figured since i am going to be hooking it up i might as well hook up the a/f gauge at the same time! i just wanted to have it since the gauge pod i have holds two gauges might as well put it in for the hell of it!

Well the Air-Fuel gets you a reading better than nothing. So I would keep it. But if you have the money get the EGT when you do. Helps alot. Better have some sort of reading on an engine than nothing am I right?
