Exclamation Air flow Meter

Ok.. this was dumb of me but I didn't know!..
I took the adapter off the outside of the airflow meter box to polish the surface around it Somehow it screwed everything up. Now the car will now idle! It starts, then about 10 seconds later it dies. Does anybody know anything about the setup of the box?? I'm running a cone instead of the stock airbox.. should that matter? Any help greatly appreciated.

air flow meter

The plug was fully inserted. The problem is under the black cover on the air flow meter, not on the exterior.

FIXED

FOR ANYONE WHO EVER HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS I DID....
I TOOK THE PLASTIC TOP OFF WITH A KNIFE, PUT THE LONG METAL PIECE BACK ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE LEVER AND RE-SEALED THE UNIT. THE UNIT WILL NOT WORK UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTLY SEALED. LASTLY... DO NOT TAKE THE SCREWS OUT OF THE CASING!!!
