aiming headlights

theres a couple of + screws on the bezel.. 2 on each side. this sets the left and right settings..
bottom screw for the up and down settings..

yea BUT how do you get both lights to point in the same direction? One of them may be higher, lower or more to one side than the other. Back in highschool auto shop, the "teacher" showed us a tool to perfectly align both lights. Do auto parts stores rent this tool out?

On a straight & level street at night with no traffic.
Turn on low beams.
Stand in front of the left light & set the right.
Set the top of the beam straight ahead on the street about 100-200 ft ahead.
Bounce the front bumper some to check it.
Switch sides & set the left light the same.

Note- Many state inspections check by the high beam setting, but I drive 95% on low beams. You may have to set your beams just a little lower to pass.

Park in front of a wall (garage or something) so you can see how they relate to each other. Might also check out the Haynes manuals. Seems like they used to detail this and an approximation of where they should be set. Dunno if the one for the RX7 does, but I've seen them for other vehicles, so I'd have to ***-u-me.

I take It you finally got the Silverstars? What do you think of them?

If they haven't been adjusted out of the factory, chances are you don't have to touch them. Do they look a little cockeyed to you?

They look ok, just that I wanted to get them perfect. I'm a pefectionist and was wondering if there is a guideline or something. I can't post a pic. Don't know why. But the lights are pretty good, bright white. Still not sure if they are worth the price, kind of miss my blue tint.
