Angry ahhhhh, stupid brakes!!

I'm trying to swap out my front rotors for some cross drilled slotted brembos, and also change the pads.

BUT THE STUPID CALIPER MOUNTING BOLTS ARE STUCK!!

I've used every penetrant know to man, even tried naval jely to dissolve some of the rust.... NOTHING WORKS!!! I rented an impct diver from the tool place today figuring it might help... NO!

ANY SUGGESTIONS???? TRICKS I MIGHT NOT KNOW????

please help me, i'm pulling my hair out here!

Turn the wheel. Put on a socket attached to a breaker bar. If that doesn't work, place a pipe over the breaker bar for more leverage. Lift har...It will come.

lol...Remember the more leverage you can get the better. just be careful that you don't twist the head of the bolt off the stud. I have done this more times than I care to recall (stupid metric bolts , but I think I used either 3/4" or 1/2" ratchet with a pipe. Eventually it broke loose with a loud pop. luckily nothing broke.

A trick that has worked for me several times is to carefully direct some heat to the bolt and then drip melted candle wax onto the bolt head. It acts as a lubricant and will usually break loose. Hope this helps.

I was getting my brakes done at a shop yesterday and the guy ran into a problem, the little screw that holds the rotor to the hub had a stripped head (yet previous person doing brake discs had re-installed a stripped screw!! wtf!!!) and the screw was all nasty and rusted. So the guy busts out the coolest tool ever, an air powered vibrator. It looks like a little gun, and you push the nose against the thing you want to vibrate, pull the trigger, and it vibrates the **** out of it. Popped the screws loose no problem. See if you can rent one of those

I have the same problem with those little damn screws!!!! finally got the caliper off the drivers side, after breaking two .5" impact sockets. went to the breaker bar... and it worked. can't bang on the damn thing tonight though (have young neighbors), it'll have to wait till tomorrow... unless anyone has a trick to get the rotors off easily??!!!

Put a 6ft pipe on the end of a rachet or breaker bar. You can exhibit about 9-1100ft/lbs of torque on it. Itll either come off or snap in half

Rotor removal-Put lug nuts back on studs to protect the threads. Get a large, heavy hammer and strike the face of the rotor all around the stud area, not the brake surface. You will break the rust loose under the rotor, then be able to remove it. Don't worry about the screws. If heads destroyed, just drill heads off and remove rotor.
