ahhhhh rust!!!

hey guys, i had to drive my 7 this winter and now i'm dealing with the whole rust issue. it's got a bit on both wheel wells and a couple spots on the side skirts. doesnt look too bad but i was quoted 1400$ canadian to fix it! anyone know of cheaper ways to get around th is....hell if i have to pay 1400 i might as well sell my car and find a new one because thats a fu*k load of $$ for a couple rust spots

Do it yourself. Get a sander, $100 or less. Get some primer, $15. Get some factory paint, $30.

Total : $145

Knowing you did it right and feeling accomplished : Priceless

1. Sand off all the paint AROUND the rust area, and sand off the rust too. Get to the shiny metal underneath.

2. Prime the newly exposed metal, let dry.

3. Paint.

---If you have holes, you're screwed and may have to do some welding and what not . Expect to pay some big bucks then....
