is it five lug?
sunroof?
any power options?
etc..

 

if you read the charts you should know what it will take to tell what it is, douch bag

well im a fan of keeping cars original. and i think the goofyness of those rims make the car.

 

No not always... here in the states, those rims were optional or standard on the Base, the Luxury coupe and the SE. All available in 87.

Yep! Canadian base model GX w/ sunroof its why I posted it as a comparison to his S4 base model. These base rims are nicer IMO.

 

well, no... you posted a S5 coupe with 5 lug wheels and S4 mirrors... not even the same thing... not even the same ball park.

If your car is a S5 GX it would be the equivelent to the US spec base strippy 89-90 GTU.

Maybe you didn't get the model differences...

The US had a Base model, the Luxury coupe, and the SE all with 4 lug wheels in 87. I don't think Canada even got the Base model, and your GX was the same as the US spec Luxury coupe in 87.

Anyway, a lsd will run you anywhere from a hundred or so if you can find someone that wants to get rid of it locally, to 3-400 or even more at a junk yard. For reference, I was quoted 300 for a s4 TII rear end at a junk yard, but they generally have pretty good prices.

And gus, yours is probably a sport model. Its basically a base, but with 5-lugs and the better brakes. Check out the "what did my FC come with" thread stickied on the 2nd gen main page.

 

huh my s5 is weird then... it doesn't match at lot of things on the "what did my fc come with" for 1990 GTU (GX?). No standard spoiler, matching color rearview mirrors, it has fog lights, no door inserts, it has cruise control.

Canada's 90 GX model must be left over US 89 GTU's..

 

didn't think that they came with fog lights, rather they got the lame DRL in canada for S5 models.

And as mentioned above, your mirrors are not S5 mirrors... they are S4 mirrors.

 

i did but my car has some stuff from each of the models but not everything of one.
