Aftermarket turbo blanket

Well i searched and couldnt find anything on this...the previous owner removed the stock heat shields on my 89 TII well once the car has been running that side of the engine bay is very very hot!!! What size aftermarket turbo blanket will fit the stock TII turbo? t3 t4?? there are a million for sale...

T3 might fit. I would just go get the stock heat shields out of the for sale section thought. I have seen those turbo blankets cook turbos. They were however oil cooled only and T3 turbine housings.

hmmm can you explain more on you saying youve seen them cook turbos?

I've got an oil cooled T4 turbo and I run a turbo blanket. The turbo seems to be holding up fine for now at least.

What's the point though when you can get OEM heatshields?
