Aftermarket Tail Lights?

I'm looking for some aftermarket tail lights (prefferably blacked-out) for my '89 S5 and I can't find anything online. Do they even exist? Could someone point me in the right direction here? Thanks

I don't think anyone makes aftermarket tails for the FC. If you want blacked out, you're going to have to smoke them yourself. Also, try searching for "modernized tails."

Do what? Modernizing them?

Stick them in the oven, remove the diffuser, then re-seal them.

Search for it. There are a few good guides on how to do it. But If u wanna smoke em your self, Id get either VHT nightshade, or some Testers model car window tint and some clear coat(for both of them). Then just tape off and spray, clear, then let em dry.

I haven't really been thinking about aftermarket tail lights, but I have recently seen some trucks have red LED lights under the tailgate, or above the cargo window. I was wondering how that would look if you surrounded the FC tail light with LEDs. I can't decide if that would be semi original or really dumb. Has anyone tried this? What do you think?

Well if you buy a different set of lights, sell the S5 ones. They sell good on here.

Looks to me like they just threw some mesh on tehre and upped the price $600. Those are jap s4 tails so there probly worth atleast $200 alone.

personally if they were all red or red on bottom it would look a LOT cleaner, the white and black alone just looks wrong. Personally im gonna do the LED retrofit on mine soon, and then possibly just candy red the turn signals like i had on my MX6 at one point. it all depends on how i like the LEDs after i paint my car white. i always liked the S5 tails ever since i first started wanting one.
