i have seen the whole dash redone with aftermarket gauges. i believe it was someone on the forum. the one i saw had the gauges flush with the old gauges. looked real good. wish i still had the pic.

 

thats what i want to do, except with the black version of the gauge. i would REALLY like to see a full aftermarket gauge cluster. im not sure what to use for the temp/pressure stuff. right now im thinking SMA dual digital gauges, because they would fit easily. but i still dont know what to use for a speedometer.

 

What's wrong with that?

I didnt like the fact that it covered the idiot lights even if they arent that great i am getting the three gauges in the radio bin pretty soon...

 

i think the stock one is as big as i'll go, i try to stand out from the rice scene. but as long as it serves a purpose then i see nothing wrong with it...

 

Well it's not mounted on the dash in your mom's civic!

 

that thing must be bright at night! Any night time pictures? I'd like to see what it looks like with the stock gauges illuminated.

actually its a really junk pic it is at night and the flash was on super high so maybe if i turn it down it will show up better.... btw the tach itself has a built in britness adjustment all you do is punch it in to how you want it... the tach is mounted the right way...you cant see it but apexi starts their 0 to the right a little....and all i really have to say is wow im in love with this thing...i really wish i had gotten the black one which is the reverse indiglo look so i wouldnt stare at that thing like a naked woman... seriously iam really happy i got it ive waited almost a year before i got this tach i didnt intend to stick it in the dash but it just happened to fit there everywhere else it stuck out like a sore thumb

 

Looks good. Hate to say it, but I'd get some white-faced gagues to match. It might just be me, but that kind of stuff REALLY bothers me.

 

rotorific whats wrong with the autometer 5 inch wiht ext shift like. that thing is no different than your factory tach. well about 200 bucks more. and still no shift light!!!!!

Detriuch if you knew about the tach youd understand that there is a 2 stage shift light 30 second playback and that this tach is better than an autometer by far and im not being byas'd in anyway everyone that has seen my tach so far has said that autometer doesnt have jack on it.....

Yep 4 inches. Oh yea I'm sure he mounted it sideways because of view, meaning it's a whole lot more important to know when you're at 7krpm than to know when you're at 3krpm...I'm sure you guys saw the RSX-S video and the results of missing a shift.

KIYO man you need to learn how to read i originally stated the tach is mounted the right way....uh hey guy its mounted the correct way it wouldnt say apexi at the top of the silver lip if it wasnt the right way
And the tach hole is not 4 inches it is almost 5 inches more like 4.63 inches... yep i measured it.... but not sure if that is the correct number
