aftermarket seats.
i was wondering. if i could take the brace or w/e under the stock steats and put those onto aftermarket ones. think they'll fit? or do i have to buy something that fits both the seat and the car?

I used the stock sliders for my aftermarket seats, I just put 2 bar across the sliders, 1 front 1 back then drilled the holes where I needed them. BTW, everything I used was from Home Depot. The passenger side was alittle tricky, u need to level it out with washers. Search theres threads out there on this subject, I know I posted a thread here on how to do it 3 years ago. I think it mght be still around!!

I would venture to say that by the looks of them and what i know mazdaspeed seat to look like, those are not real. They are a generic seat that has been stitched with mazdaspeed logos.
I have a sparco pro2000 in my FC using a bride seat rail. I had to cut it apart and weld it back together to get it to sit low enough for me to fit in the car with my helmet on.

see i was thinking of fabbing a rail myself. but i'm freaked out about not doing it right or calcs for it incase of a crash. o.0 i mean good to be in the seat in a crash, but not so good if the seat is not inside the car anymore haha. i'm looking for a nice fast road car, so yeah, i'm considering collisions with idiotic people who drive out there too o.0 *sighs*

What about something real generic, like these for instance?

They are cheap but pretty comfortable, I've always wanted a set for the 7.

I always considered an aftermarket seat that was not a fixed bucket to be a waste of time in a 2 seater car. thats just how i feel after driving any car with a bucket vs recliner.
