Trying to find Rx8 seats... really tough, any suggestions?

Go to the RX-8 forum (rx8club.com). There's a vendor there that specializes in providing RX-8 parts from wrecking yards. I think it's MazdaParts.com, but I could be wrong. If you can't find the vendor, ask in the forum about them.

will rx-8 seats even fit in an fc? has anyone ever tried it?

 

I have an FC and an RX-8, and my GUESS is that the seats will physically fit in the car but I suspect that the seat rails would require fairly significant modification. That is the case with FD seats I know.

One problem with the FC is that the inside seat rail on the passenger side is not at the same level as the outside rail due to the inside rail being attached at a higher level on the tunnel. Aftermarket seats with mounting adapters cause the aftermarket seats to be an inch or so higher than the OEM passenger seat because of that leading to problems for anyone sitting in the passenger seat with a helmet on. Not a problem unless you track the car with an instructor in the passenger seat.

 

i have a set of rx8 seats now. the mounting rails wont fit but they fit very well physically in an fc. i need to find a place that can make a bracket for me.

 

i wanna put rx8 seats in my car, love the look of them... i gotta go 2 a junk yard and find me some lol
