When I did my stereo all the stock wiring harness colors matched the wires on the aftermarket harness for the deck.

I am sure someone has a more detailed image or step by step type thing but it was pretty simple. It's aftermarket speakers that were a pain in the butt cause of the stock amplifiers on the speakers.

Red is not power... it is illumination, and the wire colors for the stock system can be found in the Sticky thread at the top of this section called the FAQ for FC.

You should always read the FAQ for FC sticky thread (https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/frequently-asked-questions-2nd-generation-rx-7-faq-fc-494667/) before posting as it coveres many of the commonly asked questions such as the one that you started this thread with.
