Aftermarket Radiator question

Ok so i bought a aftermarket alloy radiator that was meant to just "bolt in" for my fc however it wasnt even close. Bottom outlet would hit on sway far and so would the drain. so we went to modify it by cutting off the inlet and welding a piece of pipe in on an angle however damaged the core in the process and rendered it useless.

So now hes buying me a new one..but which option to pick.. not keen on modifying another alloy one.. are there alloy ones with perfect fitment? also do alot of track/ drift work so if i bust it cant replace core or weld it up.

Custom full copper radiator will cost the same as an alloy one made by a reputable shop here comes with fitment warranty and core can be fixed if need be.

3 core standard radiator?

The Fluidyne rad is an excellent, direct bolt-on, but it is expensive and you'll have to find one on an aftermarket shelf somewhere since I believe the company no longer builds a model for the FC. You can also try searching in the classified section of this forum or you can place a Wanted to Buy there. Fc3s.org had an excellent piece on installation of the Fluidyne, but they apparently are caput. PM me your email address and I'll send you the HTML files of the article.

Koyo is also a good rad. Basically a direct bolt in. Good luck

The last time I spoke with Gary Johnson at Fluidyne, he said they should have some in September but it's been 2 months so maybe they are out again.

Can the stock shroud still fit with the Godspeed or do you have to go e-fan?

I have an AWR radiator and it's really nice. It's also really expensive, but in my opinion worth it.

http://www.awrracing.com

It doesn't come with the plates on the side pre-drilled however so you have to put it in and mark where the holes need to be and then just drill them and use the stock rubber grommets (that's what I did)

only picture I have:

Dunno.
I was already efan and never even tried to fit the stock shroud.
The Godspeed is thicker than stock and may present a problem for the shroud but I can't say for certain.

Shipping to New Zealand could be a bit pricey?

Unless you're Burt Munro, wouldn't any rad have to be shipped in?

My Koyo Aluminum radiater is about 1/8th of an inch away from my Racing Beat front sway bar. So if you have an aftermarket sway bar I would go with the Koyo.
