Aftermarket EMS install ?'s

1: does the ECU control anything related to the p/s, a/c or cruise? If so, what?
Though i'm really considering removing them at this point anyways.

2: why the hell won't the stock engine harness come out of the firewall, I've disconnected the ECU from it and the cabin air pressure sensor, is there anything else cos I can't see anything. What a pain in the ***! I dont' remember it being this hard the last time I did this.

3: The connector that connects to the stock ECU and isn't a part of the engine harness, is there a diagram around somewhere with it's pinouts? I'm assuming it attaches to the coolant sensor and coils and etc on the driver's side of the car..

Those are independent systems.
Although the stock ECU does take some of the inputs from those system, they all can function by themselves without the stock ECU.

There's also the knock box, and the two crossover plugs that go into the dash harness.
You need to disconnect them all before you can yank everything through the firewall.

That 3rd plug is for the CAS input (for S4's) and outputs to the coils.
Those are the main components that are on that plug.
The water temp sensor goes through the main engine harness and goes into one plug through the dash crossover harness.

thanks ted!

I saw those two plugs up there but I thought that the dash harness connected to them, not the engine one.. now I gotta figure out how to get my hand up there.
