Aftermarket Dual Exhaust

most people say get racing beat but honestly, i dont like how they look. i was looking at GReddy PE but it says that theres only a few left or something like that. so my question is besides the GReddy PE what is another streetable but high flowing exhaust system. the 2 other ones that i was intrested in was the HKS Hi-Power and one that really caught my attention was the JIC-Magic Bullet 505S Ti Cat-Back ... if anyone can give sound clips or even a opinion on any of the exhaust systems i mentioned that would b great.

well I was going to say Greddy, but nevermind, the HKS Dragger? or TI? one of those two. The HKS is rather loud, but good quality. The Greddy sounds the best, rather quiet.

If you have an N/a only use Apexi N1's if you like the sound of riceboxes. If you have a TII be aware that it will be LOUD and buzzy sounding. Racing beat or Borla is all I would personally use. It is modest with just as much if not more performance than all the Rircer looking ones.

I had the Borla set-up on my 6-port motor...with a RB header and presilencer it sounded ******' TIGHT!!!! Like a bike at high revs, I wish I had a sound byte of that ****. It was a 2.5" pipe dumping into dual 2.25's with the round mufflers and those old style intercooled round tips (3") All stainless. I loved it, it was just too small for the turbo engine.

I'd go with the Greddy over the Borla, Borla's products hardly ever produce gains big enough to justify buying the product.. I had borla headers on my Impreza, and they only netted 5HP, whereas a equal length header would have netted 14-19HP..

Well it would probably be loud. That is IF you fabricated it to work. I think you should know that the Apexi N1's are 2.5" IIRC which isn't going to mate up to a 3"

I think it is under 400 dollars and it is dual. I wouldn't even think of using a single sided exhaust on an FC. Its like ripping off one of your wife's ****. I have only heard one sound clip but unfortunately it was on a school pc and I couldn't save it and I have since lost access to that pc so I can't find the file. But it sounds good and the quality looks good aswell. I can't speak for hp gains, like anyone here can speak for any exhaust's hp gains based on personal knowledge , I would say that it is as good as the RB setup because it is also straight through like RB's stuff.

exhaust

I dont have the exhaust that your inquiring about. I think choosing from these exhaust is a matter of preference. I have the dual N1 Apexi catback w/a silencers and love them. It is not loud like other people are saying then again I have a silencer on it. I yet to run it without the silenser to find out just how loud it is with a N/A. This catback is louder than the OEM catback w/ a nice growl tone. And, its not buzzy nor ricey to me. Like I said earlier its a matter of preference.

Careful there kiddo, flaming will get you a warning and a forum holiday. My post was not in any way personal or insulting, so your insults were not warranted. Pull your frickin' head in.

And if you don't think calling exhaust tips "intercooled" isn't incredibly funny (and utterly stupid) then you need to learn a little more about cars...

... anywayz back on topic. im hoping that GReddy PE's will still b in stock by earlier next year..... BUT if not, anyone know anything about the jic magic dual bullet cat-back? it looks like a good smooth flowing system but i really dont want an exhaust that will drone on the highway. anyone ever heard it before?

Ummm.....quick question.....an FC's stock exhaust piping....is it good? Like if I gutted the cats and put on mufflers on (just for now until I get more money to do 2" piping all the way back with a presilencer and headers) Would the stock piping with gutted cats give me the same flow as new piping or is the stock too restrictive?

I have RB 3" DP with custom*cough* no cat *cough* mid pipe and the Greddy PE dual cat back. I absolutly love the sound of the Greddy system. At idle it had a VERY low note to it and it really doesnt get loud unless I am really getting on the gas. IMO its a great sounding system.

I'd get a GReddy PE system if I had the money or the need for an exhaust. I have the HKS Sport system right now. Sounds nice when hooked up to a 2.5 inch custom single cat and the RB header.

iirc=if i recal corectly

I remember but haven't verified that the piping on the Y =-pipe for the N1's is 2.5 which will not fit a 3" without fabrication.
