Aftermarket CD player in S4

Ok so i just got a Clarion DXZ845MC, i put it in and wired it up. Everything is all good accept the rear speakers aernt working. I assume this is because i have the stock amps and need to put power to them correct? Ok so how should i do that? good idea to splice the switched power to it? Also, i have a power antenna, should i use the wire for it or ground it? i have it grounded right now and it work fine. Anybody figured this out yet?

yes, http://www.mazdamark.com/ <<<this will be where you get a relay for the antenna to work only when you turn on the CD player..as for the amps, most people run new wire but if you want...one of the wires on the harness for the car to the CD player is for the factory switch to turn the amps on...i cant remeber what color it is but i know its in the FAQ's...

yeah i have a relay from the other stereo i took out, I can use that. I know what wire goes to the amp, i just wanna know if it is safe to splice it from the switched power on. So when i turn the stereo on the amp turns on with it.

You should really just straight run the front speakers as well as teh rears, bypassing teh factory 10 watt amps all together. Any new headunit will more than likely outpower the stock amps and the old wiring isnt the best for newer speakers.

Ahhh, understood. THough It would actually be easier in the long run to rerun new wiring, even if it is to the old speakers. THat way you're not having to deal with the small gauge stock wires for the new setup.

Hehe yeah thats a good plan too. Ive got too much to do to take that much time for now, shes daily driven and needed 6 days a week every day all day. though ive got aspirations for 3000 watts and 10 speakers.
