Hey when buying a aftermarket 02 sensor how do you guys hook it up? What do you do with the braided wire around the stock 02 sensor wire?

An aftermarket O2 sensor-Just cut out the factory connector and attach the O2 wire. Why are you back into the harness were the shield is showing? Do you have a wiring problem? Make sure your connection is waterproof eg use a male/female connector or heat shrink to protect the connection.

 

I ordered replacement from Victoria British for my 88, came with a connector that would not reach the stock location. So I cut, twisted wire together and covered with heat shrink wrap. Seem's to be fine although probably should have soldered the wire.

How much does that Bosch one cost?
