ok so i just want to make one thing sure, the fuel pump relay is gated by the afm correct ? the afm makes the relay switch to correct voltage in order to make the fuel pump pump. also how do you tell he turbo afm's apart from na is there a number on it that i can match up to my ecu ?

 

there is a wiring diagram in the FSM, in the electrical schematics (fuel and emissions subsection). pretty much the circuit opening relay (which does control the fuel pump) is triggered by a ground from the AFM, a ground from the fuel pump check connector, or a start signal from the ignition harness.
