I like the FC because its one of the only Japanese cars not in the Fast and Furious. I absolutely hated the RX's in those movies.

FD is too familar, much like a Skyline or Supra. the FC is the underdog in the race community.

Plus I'm too poor to afford an FD, and my FC gives me all the pleasure i need.

Are you serious??? hey you sound like a str8 up dumbass... I would prefer a nice porsche over my fc anyday... I've owned an fc for about 5 years. I have owned a couple of brand new cars, but never really looked into buying an Fd. They just dont catch my eye.

Well then I guess that miami is FD central then, cus I see them pretty much regularly. AT the miami meet, there were more fd's than fc's. Not that it makes a difference. I'm not hating of Fd's at all, I like their styling and the interior is way superior than that of an fc. But if you can barely see or havent seen fd's in person then you should take a trip down here, cus they are everywhere.

I've been everywhere and have yet to see one on the road, seen them at functions and events. Live in east SF Bay area, been all over the state, out of state and seen not one. I think they're hiding from us FC's

There are quite a few people on the boards who have had opportunities to own an fd and just passed it up... Me included... Im not one of those people who put up a front and say that FC is the **** and the fd is junk. Almost everything about the FD is superior to that of an fc. Im just one of those people that wouldnt trade or choose an FD over an Fc.. ITs not like they are expensive either, 6-8k will get you an fd all day long.

And that is ok... I thought it was silly for people to lower a car that have been improved in nearly every aspect and claim something inferior to be better... it is the next generation and like FB and FC, the FC is better than the FB in pretty much every aspect...

which one is better for YOU? that would be personal preference...

May have been mentioned before, but I didn't read the whole topic...

In my opinion, the FC has many advantages. First, the FD is fairly ugly. I don't go in for that round organic look, but others may like it. Fairly subjective of course.

FC is cheaper to operate, purchase and maintain.

FC is easier to mod since it has an AFM. You can do a LOT more with the FC's stock EFI system then the FD because the FC can compensate for increased airflow much more then the FD. Put an exhaust and an intake on a FD and you're looking at replacing the ECU.

I like the simpler interior of the FC.

No AST.

FC doesn't have half a zillion vacuum lines.

Coils are not mounted on engine.

Changing the fuel pump is not a 2 day operation on the FC.

Does not have a Fast and The Furious stigma attached to it.

Does not have an underdesigned cooling system. All FCs have nice, big oil coolers.

No freaking ABS on many FC models!

And that's about all I can think of right now. Some of it is subjective, and I've never been an FD person myself primarily because I've never liked the look. I mean, if a car is that ugly, it should at least be reliable, right? Though there is a local owner here (TYSON on this forum) who has a NA 13B PP FD (enough two letter acronyms for you?) that's pretty cool...Kind of quiet though.

IMHO FD's have every performance criteria over FC's and everyone (in Utah anyway) thinks they look better but, I've looked under the hood and Damn! I don't want to work on that engine. I like all 3 of my seven's but for different reasons and I'm sure an FD would be fun. But I personally prefer sleeper cars and noone thinks an FD is slow. You can really suprise lots of people with an older seven. They are (to most people) just not much of a threat until they are looking at taillights.

To me, I don't like the newer style ROUND BODY cars, and I don't like the old square bodys, so the FC to me is a bit something inbetween, the front end has a certain roundness to it, and the rear end keeps the lines very well.

Would I pick up an FD if I had the chance...probbaly not, thats money spent else where on the FC!

imho the fd is a much better car for what it is... a sports car

i dont drive my fc much but when i do i have plenty of fun and forget the fact that i cant afford an fd right now. but i will have both when i can afford it.

if you have to justify that the fc is better than the fd, then you are proving that the fd is ultimately better than the fc.

i love the fc and i love the fd. the fd is a better car, but that doesnt mean i love the fd more than i love the fc.

I have plans of one day buying an fd from my mechanic...now if my damn fc would stop breaking, maybe I could scrape together the money to make it happen someday.

The FD is much lighter than the TII.

I think the best advantage to the FC is you have a lower chance of getting a STD...cause we all know the FC won't get you laid
haha.... i beg to differ

Wankel 7, FC's get you laid, at lease turbo verts to

The only advantage I see of an FC over an FD is the price, other than that the FD is better (and better looking)

Lastphaseofthis- FD's do come with four seats, just not the ones in america.

Well I have had an 88 10 ae, a 94fd and now again another 88 10ae... The 10 ae has some memories, and that is why I like it... the fd was a race car and it was way badass. but I did not have the connection with the fd that I have with my 10ae. It always felt like I was driving someone elses car. So, is it better? no it is just different.

First off... let me say I've never seen a guy get laid because of his car... NEVER. Unless you're dealing with a Danica Patrick-type, your car has very little bearing on your ability to woo the ladies. Let's all either agree or agree to disagree on that. Usually there's other reasons why a guy would have continuous non-amourous play with the ladies. a) he's rich b) he's good looking c) he is a man of stature. If a lady wants to give you some action because of your car... maybe you should steer away from that lady.

Oh yea, and about the FC...

FC = Fairly cheap fun.

FC = pretty rare in my end of the country... I've seen about 5 in town.

FC = 7 more years I can apply for antique license plates... ha.

Near the end of the movie, the police chase toward the airport/boat.

There was also a silver FC in 2 fast 2 furious at the start when they went to the dirt track to pick up the black dude, the FC was sitting in the background.

I have had an FD brought it straight after my first FC, and Aaron Cake is spot on, mine had more problems than what it was worth, may have been a dud but has put me write off, so now got another FC.

I like the way the FC looks a little better as long as all the below are true...

1. Its straight
2. New paint (base/clear not cheap single stage), obviously no faded moldings either.
3. Stock body (looks better than any body kit imo)
4. Dual Mufflers, about the diameter of RB ones at tip not too big.
5. Good looking wheels, even the stock ones look fine if they are clean tho.
6. Stock (small) wing or none at all. I just dont dig wings especially on hatchbacks.

Unfortunately most FCs are all faded back and weathered looking, or "all whored out" as my co-worker would say.

I work at an automotive paint store so of course my car sparkles like a show car with great paint. I have to say my dark blue GXL with the sun-roof popped looks damn sexy from every angle especially the front. And girls in the college parking lot always comment on how "cute" it is, so it cant hurt your chances of getting laid

No car is gonna make or break your game in the ladies department unless you have self-esteem issues or are shooting for some material girls haha. I met my girlfriend while driving my old CJ5 which has been dubbed by many the dirt-clod box from hell, seriously you cant even stand next to it without getting dirt on your clothes.. you need gloves to open the doors most of the time.
