Add coolant light keeps coming on...

Fresh rebuild, about 300 miles on it now...It seems after about 30 miles the add coolant light always comes on and I have to top it back off...I do not think it is consuming it, but what else should I look at to see where it is going? and what could cause it? we suspect it is coming out of the other end of the overflow tank...Thanks

Easiest way is to get your coolant system pressure tested. Shouldn't cost too much(my local rotary shop charges $35) and will determine if you have any leaks. I couldn't for the life of me find any leaks at all, and he found my radiator and water pump both leaked. Changed both and no more problems for a year now.
