Adapting 60mm gauges to a 52mm A-pillar gauge pod

I just did this today, just thought I would snap some pics and post up in case some were wondering if it would work. I ordered a 52mm (2 1/16") gauge pod from Corksport, intending to use with my Autometer gauges. I then purchased 2 Greddy electronic gauges ( Boost and EGT ), and needed to adapt the pod to fit. At 1st I was concerned there may not be enough material to remove, but there was and it turned out great. I just got out my trusty dremmel, and a stone grinding bit, and took off little by little, until there was a nice snug fit to the gauges. Nothing spectacular, just thought it may be useful info to someone else. Here are 2 pics :

The dremel is your friend!! I did the same w/ my dual gauge pod... Dontcha hate GReddy though? They don't make a black faced gauge that illuminates amber!! I got the silver faced gauges since I like everything to match at night Selectable illumination would be a nice feature ona new line of gauges: amber, red, green, white for all popular choices.

Yep, I wanted everything to at least be close enough though. I like the stock black background gauges, so I ordered all my aftermarket gauges blackface. I have 3 autometer gauges going in a holder above the radio ( water temp, oil temp, A/F ) , and they are blackface as well. It should look pretty nice once all setup. I just hope I will be able to use this A-pillar pod with my Cusco roll cage.. I havent installed it yet, so well see.

Meh....yea probably.

I actually think that there is 60mm gauge pods available for the FD, which is why I thought this was more FC specific. And FBs..well why do they need gauges?
