ACT Flywheel Q

I'm lookin to get the ACT prolite flywheel and I see that they sell a prolite counterweight as an "accessory" ..does that mean I need thier counterweight to be ballanced correctly?

You don't need theirs(act) but you do need a counterweight from an automatic tranny RX-7,depending what year your car is.So either a 86-88 or 89-up.

We sell the stock RX7 Mazda part so you can get it anywhere. The counterweight we sell for the RX8 is an exception because we custom balance it to match the stock RX8 flywheel since the Mazda part is not properly balanced to match the stock flywheel since the automatic takes a different front counterweight.
