ACT 6Puck clutch concern

I just bought a ACT 6puck clutch Z65-HDR6 from the Rx7 store for my 88 TII. When I ordered it said it was a street disc and HD pressure plate. But when I received the clutch it says for race only not recommended for street use! I was wondering WTF!! Will it be OK for my trans??? I have a stock flywheel and I am rebuilding the trans. right now with new synch. and synch. rings. Does anyone have this clutch? Is it harsh and noisy?

6puck will be fine on the street. Definitely not as nice as a stock clutch, but it's pretty good on the street still. YOu should be fine even with the stock flywheel. If you are putting in the clutch though and doing transmission work then you might as well put in an aftermarket flywheel.

There's nothing wrong with keeping the OEM flywheel with that clutch. I've been running that clutch with a stock flywheel for 16 months on my NA and my 7 is my daily driver.

You can kill an OEM clutch in one weekend of hard driving. You'll NEVER have to replace that ACT.

Be warned, though - it's gona take you a while to re-learn how to drive the car with that clutch in there.

I just put in an ACT ( race only ) so they say clutch and Its a lil difficult to drive, but oncwe you break it in it should be fine... jsut do a lot of city driving to break it in. . . dont want to waste that nice clutch by making it slip cuz you didnt break it in right.
