Question ACT 4 puck race clutch

Do u think that an ACT 4 puck race clutch would be okay for some everyday driving, or could i go with something else around the same price? I will do lots of daily driving, but also alot of racing. So what do i do? Thanks

I think a racing clutch would be very uncofortable to drive in the city with...

Its more of a toggle in/out clutch

Get a street/strip clutch with more holding power then stock

I speak from experience because I have driven a 6-puck for over a year now. It is difficult to get used to, but not beyond the scope of an accomplished manual transmission driver.

I bought a 4-puck unsprung...havent used it yet. One friend has a s/s heavy duty sprung, and it is perfect, increased power but very comfy. Other friend has 4-puck unsprung, first couple drives you are either jerking or peeling out and your leg is sore...but you get used to it, and you can make it LOOK like you arent trying really hard in traffic most of the time...

Takes practice, but eventually you figure out the proper way to not jerk around in traffic.

I just tried driving a tuned turbo rx7 with this clutch the other day...in downtown Boston.

It sucked. Of course, I've never driven that type of clutch before. It's just an awful lot of work.

You could do it, sure...but you'd get really tired of it really quickly. I wouldn't recommend it.

I am running a ACT SS now. I don't like it. I just bought a ACT 6puck. My friend has one in his t2 and it has a great fun factor. Jerk your head back every time you shift.
