accessories question

ok, so i have decided to turn the rx into a competitive scca car. I took off the underbelly pan, horns and windshield wiper crap. i started to get to the a/c, and air pump. my question is first the air pump is hooked to the actual block, it has some sort of silanoyd deally on it.
the other question is the a/c has lines going to the block, so ok that makes sense to me. can i take these off? do i have to block the hole where the a/c hose is? oh yeah one more q. there is like a charcoal canister under the passenger side headlight by the washer resivore, do i need that?

The plastic front under pan is an important part in pushing air through the radiator & oil cooler.
The front top covers are also part of that ducting.

The removed ACV will need a block off plate.

The charcoal canaster gets fumes from the gas tank, so be aware of where you vent the open hose.
I'm not sure of the effects of capping or shunting that vent circuit.

Mazdatrix and Racing Beat sell them along with several people on the forum. You could make your own if you really wanted to and save some $$.

Why did you take the horns out? Why did you take the winshield wipers off?

And the AC lines DON'T run into the block, they run into the AC compressor which unbolts. (I seriously hope you knew that!)

And if you take the charcoal canister out, you must get a vented gas cap, otherwise pressure will build up in you tank.

corey, you make it sound like im a fool. there is an ac line that runs into the block, well i believe its a ac line. it comes out of the ac cooler thing(mounted in front of the radiator) and runs straight into the water pump housing.
it was more than just windshield wipers, it was bottle acompanying electrical lines, and motor. the horns were dead and corroded, so why not? i dont need them to race, and actually its kinda embarrasing trying to hit the apex, and the windshield wipers turn on, and the turn signal goes off, then you hit the frickin horn. ya know?
is there a template for making a plate? im sure it will need a gasket of some sort.
