AC logicon question

the logicon is the control unit iinside of the car for the temps, AC, heat, defrost, and all the crap right?

well, mine doesn't light up at all. is that normal? what is supposed to light up?i know this isn't a major performance problem, but this is a daily driver, so i kind of need it in the 100 degree weather during the summer

The red and blue temp indicators, the indicator arrows on the selector switches, the little lights above the buttons ( not sure what theyre called ), and the little pictures below the buttons ...

Thats about all i can think about right now.

as far as what lights up:

There are indicators above each button that light when the button is pressed.

Then anything with color also lights up when the lights are on.

If your's is not lighting up at all, chances are you have bad solder joints on the display panel.

Supposed to light

When I bought my 7 my logicon was dark too. It should light up. Take the logicon out. The cable that disappears up in the dash does not have to be disconnected. Just manipulate the unit to get at the back of it. Take it apart and you'll find some very small bulbs. About a half turn will remove them. Clean the contacts with a pencil eraser and put the bulbs back in. If they still don't work, get new bulbs. Mazdatrix sells them.
